Curriculum Design & Tools

I believe strong curriculum design creates a learning journey that builds confidence, deepens skills, and connects classroom goals to real-world growth.

My process combines backward design (starting with Common Course Outcomes), alignment mapping (tying activities to Bloom’s taxonomy and course objectives), and learner-centered design (ensuring every tool supports student agency and engagement).

Whether I’m developing a syllabus, designing a faculty training, or building an eLearning module, my goal is to make learning intuitive, measurable, and transferable—so students, faculty, and professionals walk away with strategies they can apply well beyond the classroom.

Celebrating with students at the Outstanding Student and Faculty Recognition Ceremony (2024).

A very thoughtful thank you gift from the class - a football signed by every student.

Celebrating the end of the semester with a class photo.

Semester-end celebration potluck!

Team-building activities early in the semester encourage collaboration and connection.

Small group presentations allow students to support each other in developing arguments and ideas.

A quiet student with tons of creative energy! Feeling seen was foundational to his success in the classroom.

Editing workshops! Students break into small groups to practice editing sentences, then present their revisions to the class.

More celebration potluck fun - this time it was also a "pajama" party!

Editing workshops and presentations in action!
